The Turbine Britten Norman Islander is operated throughout the world by Police and Armed Forces. It is just one of the types operated by Airborne Surveillance that has a proven track record and a pedigree that is second to none.
CREW INTEGRATION AND TACTICAL SURVEILLANCE TRAINING

We run a two week Tactical Operator Training Course in addition to Pilot Type Rating courses and Pilot Tactical training.

For tactical ISR operations, pilot applicants should meet the following requirements:

Hold a JAA/EASA CPL (Aeroplanes) with valid Instrument Rating.
A Type Rating is preferable but not essential.
2000 hours total flying experience, which should be powered fixed wing or rotary, 1000hrs in aeroplanes, 500hrs pilot in command overland VMC, including a significant proportion of low flying.
50 hours total flying time at night and/or IFR, including 20 hrs as pilot in command.
500 hours on twin-engine aeroplanes.
Hold a current JAA/EASA Class 1 medical with single pilot privileges.

Applicants must hold a British passport, or have proof of right to work in the United Kingdom.
