• Tactical Experience

    Our pilots and Tactical Observers have extensive experience in Airborne Surveillance. Having professional backgrounds with the Police and British Armed Forces, they are well versed in working alongside tactical and surveillance ground based teams, providing both air support and Command and Control.

  • Aircraft

    The King Air 350iER is best suited to high level strategic surveillance and long range maritime patrol
    The Turbine Islander / Defender works best at the tactical level in covert urban surveillance and in the littoral environment, whilst the DA42 and Tecnam MMA (shown above) offer persistent low cost single mission capability.

  • Systems

    We have first hand experience in developing fully integrated aircraft mission systems to maximise combined aircraft and crew efficiency. We are in partnership with companies specialising in the very latest mission-specific surveillance equipment available. These include L-3 Wescam, Artemis, Anubis and Gyrojet.

  • Tactical Training

    Airborne Surveillance provide tactical training for Pilots and Tactical Operators. Our Tactical Operator Instructors have extensive experience with the Police and Armed Forces and will either have Police Level 1 surveillance training / BTEC Level 4 diploma in surveillance or have a military equivalent.

Airborne Surveillance has an ISR equipped BN2T Islander with highly experienced aircrew for immediate deployment. We can assist on both short and long term leases to suit your company requirements. This aircraft is equipped with an L-3 Wescam MX15 HDi camera system incorporating day and low light EON (narrow), daylight EOW (wide) and IR sensors, plus a laser range finder. A comprehensive Operator workstation, incorporating Curtis Wright HD monitors, solid-state recorders and a HoneyWell-SkyForce-2 airborne mapping system, provides the Tactical Operator excellent situational awareness. The aircraft has the ability to broadcast live imagery by a COFDM microwave signal, allowing ground based teams and control rooms real time access to incidents being observed by the aircraft from distances of up to 200 km.

Mobile and base receiving equipment is available to support the specific requirements of a customer. The aircraft normally operates with two crew but is capable of carrying four crew in the mission role fit, making it an ideal training platform for both pilots and Tactical Operators requiring ISR training.
